The Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) has issued a sweeping ideological statement outlining its position amid rising tensions in South Asia, declaring that “a new order has become inevitable.”
In the message released Sunday, BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch rejected accusations that the Baloch national movement operates as a proxy for foreign powers.
“We strongly reject the idea that Baloch national resistance is a proxy of any state or power,” the statement said. “The BLA is neither a pawn nor a silent spectator. Baloch Liberation Army is a dynamic and decisive party.”
The group said that it considers itself a legitimate political and military stakeholder in the regional power equation.
“We have our rightful place in the current and future military, political and strategic formation of this region and are fully aware of our role,” it said.
The BLA’s statement specifically addressed recent Pakistani overtures towards peace and ceasefires, branding these moves as “mere deception, a war tactic, and a temporary ruse.”
“Every talk of peace, ceasefire and brotherhood from Pakistan is merely a deception, a war tactic and a temporary ruse,” the group said. “The history of this state has been written with the patronage of broken promises, backstabbing and terrorism. This is a state whose hands are stained with blood and whose every promise is soaked in it.”
The statement urged India and other regional powers to stop engaging with Pakistan diplomatically and instead take direct action against what the BLA called a “terrorist state.”
The BLA accused Pakistan of sponsoring global terrorism through its intelligence agencies, referencing groups such as Lashkar-e-Taiba, Jaish-e-Mohammad, and ISIS.
“Pakistan has not only been a breeding ground for global terrorists but also a center for the state-sponsored development of deadly terrorist groups,” the group said. “Under its [ISI’s] auspices, Pakistan has become a nuclear state of violent ideology, which is becoming a volcano for its own people and for the entire world.”
The BLA reiterated that its armed struggle in Balochistan has persisted without foreign funding or support, and argued that international assistance—especially from India—could enable the group to dismantle the Pakistani state.
“If we receive political, diplomatic and defense support from the world—especially from India—the Baloch nation can eliminate this terrorist state and lay the foundation for a peaceful, prosperous and independent Balochistan,” it said.
The group said an “independent Balochistan would act as a stabilizing force in the region, permanently stop the export of terrorism to the subcontinent, and initiate a new chapter of peace and prosperity.”
The BLA warned that Pakistan’s military establishment, in control of nuclear weapons, poses a growing threat to regional and global stability.
“The control of nuclear weapons by a fanatical military establishment is a ticking time bomb—not only for the region but for global security,” the statement said.
“If Pakistan continues to be tolerated then in the coming years [its] very existence… may lead to the ruin of the entire world.”
The group said it would support any decision by India to dismantle the Pakistani state.
“We assure India that if it makes the final decision to eliminate [the] terrorist state of Pakistan, Baloch Liberation Army, along with the entire nation, is ready to attack from [the] western border,” it said.
“We will not only welcome this decision but will become its practical and military arm,” it said. “We are ready to surround Pakistan from both eastern and western fronts and are eager to drown this menace in its own blood.”
In its final remarks, the BLA said it would continue its resistance alone if necessary, but warned that delay would lead to more bloodshed.
“Sooner or later we will destroy this occupying terrorist state and liberate our motherland,” the group said. “However, the longer this process is delayed, the more bloodshed, terrorism and instability the world will have to endure.”
“BLA is the guarantee of an independent, peaceful and progressive Balochistan,” it added. “We can be the guarantor of the end of terrorism, regional balance and world peace—if the historical status and steadfast resistance of the Baloch are recognized.”
